Christmas Eve

Aside from Christmas morning, Christmas Eve is my favorite day!!! I grew up opening my gifts Christmas Eve night, then Santa came Christmas morning, I kept that tradition going with my kiddos. I feel like if it is all on Christmas Day it is just too overwhelming. My parents come over each year as well as our closest friends Norm and Rachal {aka Nuncle Norm & Miss Red/Fred}...boy oh boy is it a good time!!! This year thanks to Miss Red we had a gingerbread house contest. I will consider this our practice run because it was a bit chaotic and took me a while to make the frosting, so not everyone got to make a house. Next year we already have it planned out better complete with judges and prizes!
We ate, opened gifts, decorated gingerbread houses, sprinkled reindeer food in the front yard, set out cookies for Santa, tucked the kids in bed, then zzzzzzzzzz. Woke up nice and early to see what the jolly man brought and he spoiled them rotten ;)

Miss Red LOVED her lighted flamingo ;)
Papa is a gift!
Nuncle Norn shoved all of his sunflower seeds, sno-balls, and Oreos in his belly!
The boys wished Papa a safe night at work and wanted reports back if he had to taser someone LOL
Just put the clues together and found out we are going to Disney World!
It's getting real!
Hubs loved his autographed Willie Nelson guitar! I LOVE surprising him :)
Reindeer fed...check.
Santa's loot.....
more loot....
and more.
Love those expressions!

Happy 6th Birthday Nar Nar

Wow, I am sad it has been around 6 weeks since I last posted...I guess it is safe to say that we have had a very busy summer! I have missed posting and have had plans to get back to it, so I hope after this round of updates I can keep it up. {Not sure when I will get around to recapping on Project 52...it's probably going to be a while...I am sure I have a lot of work to do HA!}

As for my free spirited and funny little Garner....he turned 6!!! Holy smokes, I say it with each kids birthday every year, but time is passing much too quickly. This little boy amazes me and makes me laugh every single day, his little personality is so much bigger than he is and I LOVE it. He is so witty and completely thinks outside of the box. He still loves his blankey and thumb occasionally, which is just fine by me. He is very mischievous and still has an amazing amount of innocence to him. He is VERY animated!!!  He is emotional and sincere about his feelings. {He gets that from his mama ;)}

On his actual birthday we had {well, everyone but me} had amazing cupcakes from Gigi's Cupcakes {blasted food allergies}...according to everyone they were delicious!!! Mimi and Papa came over to eat and watch him open gifts :)

For his Ninjago party this year he wanted to go to the pool in our neighborhood again...he was excited because along with all of his friends and family, his baseball team was there too!
Uncle Norm came over to watch him open gifts after his party...he is so silly with the boys!

He talked about how fun all of his birthday festivities were for quite some time afterwards....I think he had a good time ;)

Garner's Kinder Graduation...

 Sweet little Nar Nar graduated from Kinder! I can't believe he even old enough to go to school, much less already be graduating kindergarten. This year has flown by and he has blown us away! He was always my little homebody baby, he just always wanted to be home with his mama, but we have seen him blossom and grow so much this year. He had the most amazing teacher and I am so very thankful for her! She was an absolute perfect match for him :) She was very patient with his boyish ways and guided him in the right direction in such a loving manner. We have already prepped her about having Porter in a few years ;)

Benny-Boo!
The little sibling staying entertained :)
I had vertigo that day {totally sucks!} and had to sit for a bit...Daddy joined me!
So proud of my sweet baby!
Papa is proud too!
Look how much I have grown over the year Mom! {over 3 inches}
Garner & Mrs. Cassity aka: World's Best Kinder Teacher!

 If I hadn't had vertigo that morning I probably would have been pretty emotional, but waking up with that crap really threw my day off! I could barely get the kids ready for school, had to call a friend {Cindy of course} to take the kids to school, the Hubs had to come straight home from work and take me to the doctor. All offices were booked, so we went to urgent care. There was NO way in hell I was missing Garner's graduation...vertigo or not I was determined. Got some meds, took a nap, threw myself together in 20 minutes and was off. I held up pretty well, we went and ate afterwards, then I took a 3 hour nap once we got home. I was dizzy, exhausted and had a terrible headache. Couldn't have been more proud of my little guy though =)
